Beer Newsletter #059
16 April 2022
Hello neighbors and singers!
I will again be hosting Comerford Happy Hour at 5 PM today, April 16th.
Please only attend the Happy Hour if you have been vaccinated AND boosted.
I have one new beer on tap today, a Belgian-Style Saison. Saison, (“season” in French) is a light-colored ale, also known as farmhouse ale, that originated in the French-speaking area of Wallonia, Belgium. These ales are generally fruity, and yeast-derived flavors can be significant. They can be alcoholic, but mine comes in at the low end at 4.5% ABV. My brew ("Saison Lite 139") was made according to an award-winning recipe from a past Homebrew Competition. It’s refreshing with noticeable banana-notes.
On tap on Saturday we will have:
Ramon’s Kolsch (5.6% ABV),
Apexator! (a doppelbock, 6.7% ABV), and
Saison Lite 139 (4.5% ABV).
The suggested contribution is $2 per serving. Thank you in advance!
Please bring a glass to the Happy Hour to reduce our consumption of plastic!
Thank you.
See you soon!
Cheers,
Peter
